Reflection Post 2: Week 6 Artificial Intelligence

In week 6, we discussed artificial intelligence and the impacts of these new tools in academic settings. I took the most interest in the article we looked at by the UN Environment Programme.

This article highlighted the potentially positive and negative impacts of AI. While AI has the ability to help address major enviromental issues, such as tracking methane emissions and monitoring ecosystems, it also has a growing environmental footprint.

To reflect on this article, I created an infographic that summarizes the pros and cons discussed. This allowed me to engage more deeply with the material and think critically about how AI can both be a useful tool for sustainability and contribute to environmental degradation.
